Aldo Gatliff Silver Heels - Size 7

Silver heels with rhinestone detail, perfect for evening/prom. Size 7, never been worn, still in the box, perfect condition.
Purchased for $80 +tax; can be found on www.aldoshoes.com for $80.
Pretty heels. I initially bought for a certain occasion but I ended up changing my mind and wearing a different pair of heels, because these aren't quite my style.

Selling for $45, almost half off retail value of $80.

Sam Edelman Nixie Heels Size 7

Beautiful heels; I bought them for around $120 and I'm selling them for $70. You cannot find them cheaper than $90 online - believe me I searched the world and back for these heels in my size, I wanted them for a certain occasion - so I'm sure that trying to find them in stores for less than that would be futile.
Only worn once, but I did stretch the peep-toe leather a bit. They're rather small for a size 7.

Kensie Silver Dress - Size 6

(The middle one, obviously.)
For reference, I am a little over 5 ft tall - about 5 ft 1/2 inch, with a larger bust (in this dress, the cleavage was a little hard to control.)
Only worn once (the day of photo above) and then drycleaned. Perfect condition.
If you need any more details, feel free to ask.

$35 - retail about $85.

Selling some dresses of mine.

I'm going of to college in the fall in New York as you all know, and I am trying to raise as much money as I possibly can before then!
I'm selling some clothing; I'll be posting the items on here.
Dresses first. I have some very pretty dresses that I will be selling, almost all of which have only been worn once and then washed/drycleaned.
Keep checking!

Rain - putting a "damper" on spring breaks everywhere.

I woke up about half an hour ago to lots of rain outside my window. Boo, come back after this week or something!

So I watched the movie Yes Man on Sunday with my best friend, and again yesterday with him and another one of my friends.

I don't know if you guys are aware but I am kind of obsessed with Zooey Deschanel, and therefore I absolutely loved this movie (it was pretty freakin' adorable.) She's one of my favourite actresses/singers, she has the perfect brand of cuteness, and she is named after Frannny and Zooey by JD Salinger, which is pretty awesome.

So enough with my ridiculous adoration, let's look at some stills from the movie!

Zooey sings in this movie also, and her band scenes are all very humourous and a bit random. And they prove that she looks good in anything! (These outfits actually aren't too bad.) I didn't think she sounded a whole lot like she typically does in She & Him, but her singing was still good, and the lyrics were quite entertaining.

And the Harry Potter party. Both Jim & Zooey look so adorable. My friends and I want to have a Harry Potter party now.

And look how cute she is in overalls! This is where she is helping with a clothes drive at the end of the movie.
LOVE her hair, also.

And last but not least, the elusive coat. I searched this and found out that many people as well as myself are wondering about this wonderful little blue coat with red piping.

According to International Sequin Issues, the coat is "'a vintage find by costumer Mark Bridges, who updated it with new buttons.'"

So, this exact coat is not to be found, but I have come across this similar one:

Also, Kimchi & Blue had a very similar one for Urban Outfitters, but it is no longer in stock. And I bet you Marc Jacobs has done something very similar. With a little searching though, you can probably find coats that are the same style as this.

Spring Break is here!

And while I'm definitely going to go work on my tan at some point, I think I might be most excited about having time off just to read and actually update this blog and finally start playing with my Lomography camera, and sleep. I love catching up on sleep.

So, some things currently on my mind:

- Alexa Chung for Madewell. I absolutely adore her, and this makes me giddy. I want in on this action.
More from Nylon. <- this article pretty much says exactly what I was thinking.

Oh yeah, and last weekend I participated in South Texas Honor Band with a local university, and throughout rehearsals I was busy flipping through the pages of Vogue UK, the issue with dear Alexa on the cover. There were some really nice editorial spreads, and if you go out and read this, see if you can spy the fantastic Alexander McQueen "armadillo shoes." (Which I love.)

How much do you love those Chanel clogs? And her whole outfit in general?
- Agyness Deyn for Uniqlo. This is just adorable.

- THE TELEPHONE MUSIC VIDEO, hello! If you haven't watched it yet, you're late. But go watch it, and then see if you can find:

  • Product placement, Heartbeats by Gaga
  • Gaga's 17 year old brunette sister, Natali.
  • The quite obvious Tarantino inspiration
  • Late Great Dane Rumpus' sister, Lava.
  • "PlentyofFish.com" dating site. LOL.

And much more. It's just such a great video, which is always expected when it comes to Gaga.

Now, I'm off to make a sandwich. ;D

I know this is belated.

A friend of mine texted me at 9:56 AM onFebruary 11th saying Alexander McQueen passed away, and I thought it would be just a rumour, so I immediately looked it up on my phone during class and found that this was no rumour.
One of my favourite memories is of not too long ago, being so inspired after watching Plato's Atlantis (countless times) that I decided to write our assigned essay in my English class about McQueen.
Watching the music video for Bad Romance by Lady Gaga is now slightly depressing.
The fashion world was dealt a heavy blow, but no one will ever come close to his level.
Long live McQueen.
