Merry Christmas!

From Cat Von D & myself!

Thursday, December 24, 2009

"They couldn't think of something to say the day you burst.."

So I watched the Woodie Awards the other night, and then proceeded to find the next showing of the awards and record them.
Woodies = my fav awards show. I totally want to go one day. Maybe next year!
I've been like, planning out everything I want to try and do in New York. As if I won't have enough time..but then again I guess you never know.
Live every day like it's your last, right?

Speaking of which, I am still not over the fact that Brittany Murphy passed away. She was so young! Not to mention talented and beautiful.
I hate when things like that happen, so tragic. =[

Anyway though, tons of people did last-minute shoppin' today, and I was among them. I got a few gifts for my dad and whatnot.
This will be my first Christmas at home in I don't know how long; usually we go to Houston with relatives.
Here was my outfit (in gross webcam quality):
Handmade blue bow,
the beautiful ones t-shirt from Urban Outfitters,
Forever 21 cardigan which was a gift because it is what I purchased with a gift card,
best friend necklace from Claire's that I received as a gift from, well, my best friend,
Silence & Noise liquid leggings [that I wear quite a bit outside of school because they aren't in dress code,]
vintage rings,
and I can't remember which shoes.

& a close-up of the shirt, because I think it's rather pretty:

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, enjoy your presents, and stay safe!

So much great news!

It's overwhelming!

1) I have been accepted into Parsons the New School for Design in New York, for the BFA in Fashion Design program!
Best Christmas present I could've ever asked for. Ever. Ever.

2) I went to see Lil Wayne last night. Wow it was soo incredible, jeez he's amazing.

3) I can't remember anything more because those two things are consuming my mind. But it's been such a great day/weekend. I can't even believe it.

I'll post more shtuff later, gah I'm just imagining how much better this blog might be once I'm in the "concrete jungle where dreams are made of."

AHH!

Today held a heartbreaking loss for television.

It's On With Alexa Chung is over forever!
No joke, I look forward to watching that show every day when I come home from school because I record it on our DVR. I am so very sad; Alexa, please change your mind!

Anywho, anyone see this article today? Hmph, that's a bit depressing as well. Twiggy is so naturally beautiful.
Photoshop can work wonders but it's terrible to alter someone's image significantly, simply for profit. We all know this isn't the first time something like this has happened, though. Sigh.

But enough with the downers! So sorry.
The weather is cold here and I am enjoying every bit of it. Well, we could do without the gross rain we've been having, but seeing your breath in the air is so delightful. (In Corpus Christi, it's summer almost all year round, so winter is pretty awesome.)
Oh yeah, the rain is the reason why I didn't post my outfit yesterday. I came home soaked! My feet were little iceblocks with red nail polish.

So today I broke out my rainboots! Hip hip hooray, I love them so.
This was my school outfit:

Kimchi & Blue shirt,
my anonymous tan belt that proves to be a winner in the versatility category,
vintage rings,
BDG corduroy pants,
and my much-adored Sperry rainboots.

After school, I had to run home and watch Alexa Chung (this was when I found out the news =[) and then get ready for our band concert.
Yeah..I'm in band. I play the flute. xD
So I threw on a more dressy outfit, but kept that darn belt on, gotta love it!

American Apparel v-neck,
silver necklace from Dustee's, local boutique,
the belt,
vintage rings,
H&M skirt (another often-used item in my wardrobe),
tights (ditto),
and Carlos by Carlos Santana pumps.

I have to be off now, because I have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go make breakfast for teacher appreciation. On the bright side, it is a half day of school and then we are off for break! Yesss, about time.
=]

Goodnight lovelies, sweet dreams!

So I watched a part of the EMA's again today...

(European Music Awards) I watched Tokio Hotel's performance, which I had watched once before and it was so great!
But seriously, I know some people may not agree with me, but I think Bill Kaulitz, the singer, is just such a beautiful person. His appearance just fascinates me so much!
Look at this:

I may sound like a creep but I just think his face is the prettiest thing. His bone structure is perfection and his complexion's flawless; I don't know, I am just intrigued by this guy. Haha! Plus Tokio Hotel is a talented group.
So yeah, there's my weird little rant for today.

Here was my outfit for today, and the one I sat and watched this performance in while eating a delicious veggie burger:

Jeweled headband from Free People,
dad's shirt,
vintage bracelet & rings, and one ring that my best guy friend Derek bought for me in Rome,
BDG jeans,
vintage pearl necklace worn as chain,
Sam Edelman Zoe boots.

Oh and so this Friday is our last day of school 'til Christmas break, and I am SO behind on gifts. I always end up this way, I swear. I have a bunch of Secret Santa gifts I still need to get/create, plus everyone else's. Ugh.
And oh yeah, I kinda wish I could fast forward to 2010 really quick and then come back, just so I can see if I will be accepted into Parsons. I am dying of anticipation. Dying!

Keeping my fingers crossed every day, farewell 'til tomorrow.

"Don't narwhals have that thing on top of their heads?" "Yeah, their Nar!"

So even though you can't really tell at all what anything is, this was my outfit today:

Self-made leopard print bow,
Lux brownish coloured cardigan,
forest green American Apparel v-neck,
vintage ring,
black skirt from H&M,
flats from Urban Outfitters (which were, btw, HUGE on me. But it went with the whole "little girl who rummages through mommy/grandma's closet" look, so I was generally content.)

Here's a closer-up of the bow:

And now for a small collage of a few things that are on my Christmas wishlist. Not sure if I'll be getting any of them, but making wishlists is just so fun.

Includes: Marc Jacobs post earrings,
Elizabeth & James wedges and shirt,
Mary-Kate & Ashley tee,
Who What Wear book,
Lola hard perfume ring,
Macbook Pro,
nail polishes (turquoise, mint, coral, and "Dark Room"),
faux fur vest,
Doc Martens,
T by Alexander Wang romper,
Lanvin round shades,
Free People shirt.

Oh and OKAY so. I was reading Urban Outfitters' blog, and found this awesome website!
It's called "What the Font" and you can "photograph any text from a magazine that you are fond of and it gives you the exact font style you're looking for. To download. For free."

Yeah, delightful, right? :D

"I'm off to eat a Krispy Kreme."

I realized after reading this article from Nylon that I have yet to pick a New Year's resolution, and I also have yet to reveal page 3 of my style spiral! (A few months later, right.)

My page 3 icon:

Peaches Geldof!

I love her attitude, and her articles for Nylon. (It's been my dream for like..at least 3 years now to one day work at Nylon magazine.)
She does florals so well, and I think that she's an overall lovely girl. I like that she isn't perfect, and that she's from the UK.
I will post my next style spiral page in the very near future. It's probably one of the most obvious icons in the spiral.

By the way, what's your New Year's resolution, everyone?

Muse: Diane Keaton as Annie Hall

I finally put photoshop onto this computer
(sidenote: Hopefully I'll be receiving a laptop for Christmas, so that will be way awesome, and make things way easier!)

and therefore I created this:

Yay for Annie Hall. I adore this movie, and watching it last night inspired me. It sometimes reminds me of my [amazing] English teacher, because this is one of her favourite movies as well, and we've discussed it before.

+ Woody Allen's just awesome.

& here are 2 recent looks that were semi-inspired by this muse:

Look 1:

Bow made by myself* (inspired by Marc by Marc Jacobs 2010 runway),
BDG plaid dress,
black tights from Wal-Mart or someplace,
vintage rings,
Steve Madden cognac coloured brogue shoes (one of my all-time fave pair of shoes.)

Look 2:

Black bow headband from Sally Beauty Supply,
blue vest from Urban Outfitters (brand escapes me right now),
Anne Klein dress,
vintage rings,
same tights & shoes as previous look.

And here is a look that I wore a long while back and found photos of. When I wore it, I reminded myself of Annie Hall slash Amelia Earhart.
Forever 21 scarf,
Urban Renewal plaid shirt.
That photo was taken in my Apparel class, 7th period (yes, I am one of the rare seniors that has a full schedule of 7 classes.) It's a fun class, albeit we don't do much of anything - let alone sew.
*I make bows constantly now, and decided it'll probably be what I do for Christmas presents this year.
If anyone is interested in me making some for them (I do a few different types and many, many sizes) let me know. I will probably start an Etsy account with one of my best girls, Courtney, and start selling them because we both make them by the boatload.

I love to dance and act like I'm five...while getting dressed!

Yayy for embarrassing myself! & never reaching Beth Ditto's level of amazing & cool!
But still, fun.

No more high school football games for me!

Our team lost to this outstanding team from Austin, I believe it was? today.

I just wanted to post and say that I love this article from StyleCaster. I wanted EVERY pair of shoes on that runway, no lie. If I won the lottery, I would buy them all.
So this made me giggle a bit.

Oh and also, I'm so tempted to go into my savings account to purchase this t-shirt:

Anyone that knows me personally knows that I am unhealthily obsessed with Mary Kate. Okay, that does sound creepy, but she is just one of my all-time style icons. She has a page in my style spiral that I should post sometime.
But yeah...loving this shirt to death. I adore both of the twins. (P.S. If you've not bought/read their book, Influence, omagah..just, just go get it already! It's so lovely.)
Also, all other MKO t-shirts to be found are rude or tacky it seems like, sporting sayings such as "Feed Mary Kate." =[

Happy Black Friday!

& belated Turkey/Tofurkey Day.
Hope everyone's holiday went joyously!

So today, I tried to wake my lazy butt up at 7 AM, but ended up sleeping in an hour. School's arrival next week is definitely going to be tough, I already know. I've spoiled myself this week by sleeping a lot.
And tomorrow..our football team is playing in San Antonio at the Alamodome, and being in the band, I must attend. Our call time is 7:45, yuck.
Oh well though. It will be fun.

Anyway, who went shopping this Friday?! I went out and bought a small bottle of Lola with some lotion, a new handbag, and some goodies from Victoria's Secret (I love VS, even if they do get sued by Juicy Couture..)
I need to start Christmas shopping soon, so that it won't be a procrastinated [but always fun] project like years past.

My bargain shoppin', door bustin' outfit for today was as follows:

Urban Renewal shirt,
vintage necklace,
vintage rings,
Silence & Noise liquid leggings,
& Sam Edelman Zoe boots.
Oh, and there is my little chubster, Cat Von D. Our elderly poodle Shadow is in the background.

You can't see the necklace I'm wearing, but it's really neato so I took a close-up.

This is one of my favourite vintage finds (found in my great-aunt's jewelry box).
The eagle is an interesting shade of bronze, different than just about any other piece of jewelry I own, and it reminds me a lot of the Aztecs, or some type of Native American culture. I love the design of it.

I'm off to find something to munch on.
Have a lovely Black Friday, stay safe!

Back in action!

Oh dearr. So after a long, long hiatus I am posting again. After I came home from New York and school started back up, time just escaped me.
I am currently on Thanksgiving break, and I finally bought a car yesterday (my first car was smashed up in a terrible t-boning accident last summer, and it's taken us this long just to get another one.)
So things are really going, and going well!

Today I woke up and was lazy for the morning, reading Eclipse for a bit (btw, New Moon = AMAZING, yes?! Yes.) and watching Will & Grace, as well as What Not To Wear.
I ran errands in the afternoon, which included perfume perusing..I'm thinking Lola by Marc Jacobs is on my wishlist, then took my father to dinner. Then tonight I spent some good time catching up with old friends. It was definitely delightful.

Oh, and my outfit for all of this?
Not exactly what you'd call good quality, but oh yeah, another update: my computer recently crashed and painfully died..all of my things are now on this massive hard drive that is collecting dust on my desk, due to the sad fact that I have no idea how to access the things on it.
Sooooo, my dad actually got a new computer (which is completely bada**, I might add! Touch screen, what?!) and so I am using his webcam. Because webcams, to me, are synonymous with enjoyment and good [clean] fun.
Anywhoo, outfit!
Shirt & skrit from H&M,
tights from like..Walgreens or Wal-Mart or someplace,
vintage rings,
belt from who knows where,
a Scooby Doo bandaid (who cuts their finger with tweezers?!)
and amazing but awfully uncomfortable pink heels from Shoedazzle (Breast Cancer Awareness pumps!)

More of the shoes:

So, I will try very hard to keep this up. I am so inspired by bloggers like Jane and Rumi and Tavi. So I need to get it together!
Goodnight.

Quick post before bed.

I am really sleepy right now, just made about $50 in an hour though. Hoped for better but after two appointments bailing on me this morning, $50 should cover it I guess. Haha.
I was going to post some collection stuff, things I was looking at the other day that I liked, but I'll try to do that tomorrow instead.
So here was my outfit today.
Kimchi Blue plaid,
Damsel floral top (Fun fact..I wanna say Hayden Panetierre has this same top),
vintage ring,
Silence & Noise jeans (in pretty lousy condition..baha),
UO canvas foldover black ankle boots.
And did you guess Nicole Richie for the next page in the style spiral? If so, you're right on the money!
She is so beautiful, and looks awesome in everything she wears. I think the the only thing that I like least about some of her outfits I've seen is when she wears flip flops (none of those photos made it into the spiral of course.) Sorry Nicole! But everyone has their teensy imperfections, flip flops can totally slide for someone with such great style.
I just about finished the next person/page today. Wanna take a stab at who it may be?
Hint: In my eyes, this person is the master, #1, pro, queen of florals.
[sidebar: ..take a stab? Yeah, I sell knives. I think it's getting to me.]
Goodnight lovelies.

Not an extremely successful sales day, this Tuesday.

Had a couple appointments but didn't sell anything. However, 6 of the friends I recommended got hired today which is like beyond awesome!
Our office is gonna be one big party. And hopefully I'll have a more successful day tomorrow. I also have my BCIS final which I haven't studied for at all..I'm not feeling too confident on that one, hah.

Today's outfit:

Criss Cross white cardigan from Francesca's,
Damsel slip worn as top,
Sharagano high-waist skirt,
boring Mossino flats.

So, the first page of my "style spiral" introduces my muses. And the first one I did was Alison Mosshart. I'm not going in order of importance or influence, I'm just putting them down as I think and collect pictures and stuff.
Here it is.

I'm working on the next page slowly but surely. Can you guess who it is?

Busy bee!

I've been meaning to update but jeez, lately I've been running around like a chicken with its poor little head off.
Completely by coincidence, these 2 weeks that I entered into at work are what's called a "Push" where we have to literally push ourselves to physical/mental/emotional limits in order to rake in as much dough as possible. Sounds fantastic, doesn't it?

Hah, yeah.
It'll pay off though I'm sure.

So I was in Houston for a conference yesterday and I wasn't thinking when I got dressed at 4:45 AM, and ended up being pretty underdressed compared to most everyone else there.
And of course I forgot my camera, what a mess! But you wouldn't believe the amount of beautiful people I saw at this thing. Like, seriously, I was taken aback.
Ah but here is two outfits from..I dunno, a couple of the days that I didn't update. D:
Headband from Dusty's,
vintage No Boundaries shirt,
BDG grey vest/cardi,
vintage ring,
Kimchi Blue skirt,
that mysteriously anonymous tan belt that I've been getting so much use out of lately,
Alex Marie sandals.

And this outfit, which I accomplished my first sale in.
Vintage necklace,
blue bow in my hair somewhere,
American Apparel lemon yellow v-neck,
vintage rings that are hiding in my pockets,
Urban Renewal shorts [which I absolutely adore, even though they aren't totally body flattering on me since I'm rather short, they're awesome anyway!],
Shelleys sandals from UO.
I was watching Roman Holiday the other day with my dad and agh I just love it. Obviously because of A-Hep, haha. And Gregory Peck was just such a stud!
Check it out if you haven't already, forrreal.
Also, guys I am on Weardrobe! Take a look at that too, I'm lovin' it.
Oh and somehow before I take off for New York I am going to finish my fashion spiral, whether I have to neglect sleeping & eating altogether or not. And when I do, I am going to share it with you. On my icons pages I'm including Rumi from fashiontoast and of course Jane from Sea of Shoes.
I'm going to go work on that right now for a bit, and maybe try to set up some more appointments. Later gators!

Awesome day.

Today was the end, the last day of summer school for speech, yay! I've still got about a week still in my online computer class but that's child's play.
Here was my last day of summer school outfit:

Forever 21 cami,
Urban Renewal shirt,
vintage ring,
(red bracelet is one that I received at summer camp. It was mistaken for an allergy bracelet at my doctor's appointment yesterday, hah!)
BDG jeans,
Alex Marie shoes.

After summer school ended I did a bit of grocery shopping and then came home and got right to work on a fashion spiral for my New York trip, full of style icons and inspiration to guide my shopping.
In the afternoon my very close friend Kim, who moved to Arizona a couple years ago, came to visit me since she's in town. We had a very nice chat; I've missed her!

After that I prepared for my job interview at Vector Marketing! I wanted to base an outfit around my CK blazer but it didn't work out as planned.
So here was my outfit:

American Apparel forest green v-neck,
tan belt..no idea of the brand or where I bought it,
vintage ring,
zebra bracelet from Urban Outfitters,
Ralph Lauren jeans,
Predictions patent black pumps,
Givenchy Parfums patent black tote.

And I am now employed! I'm hoping to be fairly bankin' by the time New York comes around.
Now I need to go do some homework for the job because I've got breakfast and training bright & early in the morning!

Watermelon

So I just arrived home from student council summer camp in San Marcos yesterday, and I have to say it was a complete blast!
It was 70's themed, I met so many new and amazing people, and honestly there was a point almost every day we were there that I cried because we shared so many personal stories and things like that. (you can search for me on Facebook, Briana Ellsworth, if you would like to see photos.)
We also went shopping at the fantastic outlet mall where I did something I never thought I could - I only bought one thing! Well, okay two if you count an incense burner.
I found out that the New York trip Sierra's family planned is a yes and we've bought tickets and made hotel reservations. So I am trying to save every last penny for that. I'm even going to have a garage sale in the very near future, so that's exciting.

Anyway enough about me!
The other day while at the gym, Sierra and I stumbled upon a Seventeen magazine from 1998.

Look how young Tyra is! I like that haircut on her.
And Jen Aniston has seriously aged so gracefully, because she looks almost exactly the same as she did nearly 10 years ago! She is so great.
Looking at the clothing was such a blast from the past. There was denim, cute little plastic accessories, platform flip flops and the like!
Okay and here is my outfit today:
Calvin Klein blazer (my one clothing purchase at the outlets,)
Ralph Lauren white v-neck,
Silence & Noise jeans,
and not seen in this photo: black patent Michelle D flats,
vintage ring (or maybe I had taken that off in this photo. Whoops.)
And, a delicious slice of this yummy watermelon that our neighbors gave us. Which reminded me of these adorable sneakers by Keep at Urban Outfitters.

I am in one of those workaholic modes at the moment, and I am going to go back to all of this scrapbooking and doing homework and preparing for the garage sale!

Happy Belated 4th

Ah I've been a bit under the weather lately, I think there's some throat thing going around. No fun.
My best boy came back home a few days ago, and I spent July 4th downtown with friends.
I told Derek that I finally started up my fashion blog and he seems eager to be a part of it. So here was his 4th of July casual look:

Old Navy v-neck,
American Eagle shorts & belt,
Nikes.

He was disappointed that his first photo for l&d was so "cheap" but it's all good. Derek is one of the more stylish guys in this city, even when he dresses down. He just came home from being in California, Colorado, and Las Vegas. Lucky lucky boy! And he'll be leaving in a couple weeks for Europe. I am insanely jealous. I couldn't go because of damn summer school, which I could not finish early due to new school policy! Goodness.

This was my outfit.

American Apparel v-neck,
vintage ring,
Silence & Noise liquid leggings (full-length but I rolled them to crop length),
boring Mossino flats.

I'm very excited to report that I may get the chance to go to New York for a few days in August with my best girl, Sierra. I'm hoping & praying! I think that I'll have the yes or no by tonight.
Oh and I'll be in San Marcus for a leadership camp Thursday through Monday. Many photos will be taken, of this I am positive.
These camps are so much fun and sadly, this being mine & Derek's senior year, it will be our last. It's sure to be a blast. Can you say outlet malls? Although I do need to be cautious in my spending if I am to go to NY.
Gah I hope it's a yes, because I definitely need to get away from this city! Corpus is just so bland. All we have here is very mediocre beaches and sunshine nearly all year. Both of which I could live without. There is nothing fashionable or exciting, so I can't wait for college - a whole 'nother year away, sigh.

Raggedy Ann

Guillaume Hinfray = one of my new very favourite shoe designers.
If you haven't heard of Hinfray and his shoes, check it out ASAP! According to guillamehinfray.com GH "is a rough-chic style." The shoes are beautifully crafted and very elegant, yet they sport "more brutish finishing and 'underground' elements such as Piercing punctuating the shoes as a signature."
So cool.
Ideeli is having an ideeli red sale and there are quite a few shoes that I could die for! Most sold out of my size though. Which is bittersweet, considering I seriously need to conserve some money.
Ah well, my best friend comes home from vacation in a couple of hours. So I'm going to go over to his house to surprise him (probably by hiding in the closet) and welcome him home!
Oh and here's my outfit from yesterday, summer school.
Kimchi Blue shirt,
Lux cardigan,
Lucky Brand jeans,
Kimchi Blue Herringbone Gladiator Sandal.
I'm thinking about dressing up as Raggedy Ann for one day during Homecoming week at school this year. I kinda look just like her, yeah?

Public Enemies

So today after summer school, my father and I decided to go see Public Enemies. Our house was supposed to be shown (it is currently for sale) and so we had a couple of hours to kill.
All I can say is Wow! What an awesome movie. It has every component needed to qualify as an exponentially brilliant film: including both Johnny Depp & Christian Bale!

My wardrobe today was even more boring and thrown on for comfort than yesterday's. Yeah, it's possible.

Nylon tee from Nylon Magazine,
BDG jeans from UO,
Vans Off the Wall shoes in red,
vintage ring on my left hand & rings from Charlotte Russe on my right.

By the way, this is rather irrelevant but have you ever seen infomercials for those "Smooth Away" pads? I bought a box at HEB today for 10 bucks out of sheer curiosity and amazingly enough, they work! Very cool and very handy - check it out forsure.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Daisy

I finally went out and bought a bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume.
Delicious! They didn't give me the free MJ bag with it like I was hoping though. But oh well.
Typically I wear Givenchy perfumes, most notably Hot Couture, with Very Irresistable roll-on in my purse at all times.
I'd switched it up a bit and had been using Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique, which is very warm and sweet. But I figure for summer I could use something fresh, and Daisy is definitely that.
My best friend wears it and I fell in love with it!

Outfit for summer school today:

American Apparel forest green v-neck,
Lux zipper jeans from UO,
vintage necklace,
black bow headband from Sally's Beauty (obviously not visible in the photo,)
Electric indigo boots.
I like to throw comfy stuff on for summer school. Waking up at around 6 definitely leaves me with no energy.
Speaking of which, I'm off to take a power nap on my hot mess of a bed up there.

Bookmark: What Would Audrey Do?

What Would Audrey Do? by Pamela Keogh.

So I'm taking summer school right now to get Speech & BCIS out of the way, simply because I have no room for those classes next year due to the fact that I am taking Textiles & Apparel (yay.)

And we're doing a Hero speech and of course I chose Audrey Hepburn. While everyone else was Googling and searching for a hero, I whipped out my copy of this book from my bag and was done with my speech within 15 minutes.

So! I thought I'd let you in on this awesome little piece of literature. I take it everywhere I go; it's seriously great. It's a self-help/improvement book based on the life of Audrey.

Check it out!

And here's what I wore to school this morning.

BDG plaid dress from Urban Outfitters,
Mossino white flats from Target, my "old faithful" pair of flats,
vintage rings.

I'm positive that my posture truly isn't as terrible as this photo would suggest. I'm thinking it was due to me playing with Indy, who looks like Halloween with her little bandana, yeah?

My Sister's Keeper

So I went with a few girlfriends tonight to see My Sister's Keeper, and wow! I cried enough to ensure a very raccoon-esque look when it was over, that's for sure. I'm debating whether or not to read the book now. I know it would be great but a) I'm already reading 3+ books currently and b) I know I will cry again!
But anywho, I recommend it. It's very touching, and make sure if you see it to wear minimal [and waterproof] eye makeup.
This would be the outfit that I wore this evening.

Racerback tank from Urban Outfitters, can't remember the brand (I removed the tag, too?),
Paris Blues denim shorts,
Libra necklace again from UO,
vintage rings,
and my Electric Indigo suede boots from The Urban Collection!
This photo does the boots no justice, so I took a few of them to display their awesome colour.

Ahh, I definitely love them! And they are very comfortable, which is a plus.
Oh and okay, so I've been watching Nylon TV on iTunes all night aside from the time I was at the theatre. Check it out!
I've watched the Mary Kate video close to umm...23 times, ish, so far? I seriously love that woman; she is simply flawless. All of the vids are 110% awesome though.
Off to watch some more, goodnight!

Muse: Gwen Stefani

Scan from Elle magazine, July '09 No.287

So about a month ago, I went to Houston with some friends to see No Doubt (along with The Sounds and Paramore, with frontwoman Hayley Williams - my celebrity look-alike) and I can tell you that Gwen Stefani is one of those people who looks just as stunning, if not more, in real life as she does in the pages of magazines and on the television screen.

Seriously, not only does she have unique style, amazing energy and a perfect voice; she is a supermom with a body to kill for.
And for these reasons, she is without a doubt one of my heroes.

So I was thrilled to see her on the cover of the July issue of Elle! And I couldn't resist posting that page. Isn't her baby the cutest thing you ever did see?
And those leggings are just so cool. Also in the photos of her are some incredible sky-high Loubou's, tie-dye denim jeans (which she rocks, for the record,) a beautiful satin Marc Jacobs dress, dark nail polish and flawless red lipstick.
Oh how I admire that woman.

And here are some photos of No Doubt and their incredible A Clockwork Orange themed set from Houston, before my camera died:

I kid you not, during one song..I believe it was I'm Just A Girl, Gwen started doing pushups. That's how much energy she had, even with an hour plus of performing. It was awesome.
